Fluid Vector Light(Python/PyQt)

This tool is about fluid vector inner light system for FX artists there are two light systems existing for Maya fluid, which is inner light and outer light. And artists need to match these two light direction to get right shadow. For this reason, I made this tool. The inner light is all about only for fluid shading. However, outer light dominates all scenes for 3D elements so it is necessary to match these two lights to get right render output.


I made temporary light with nubs curve then converted the temp-light’s position XYZ to unit vector and connected to inner light values XYZ. So the unit vector controls the inner light value by manipulating the temp-light position. Then I matched the temp-light position to the real light(Fig 1). As a result, I was able to get right light direction and output.
